A great thread from a GSX forum of all places, seems some older Gixxers use a variation of our faithful Mikuni BDST38-B67 Carbs www.gixxer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159718Lots of photo's of Carb rebuilds and good tuning links. Bravo

From memory the only problems I had with my carbs were: Float height set incorrectly Water / Crud in float bowls Crud in jets worn needle Apparently there are other issues that crop up with the carbs: Worn emulsion tube Emulsion tube base O-ring drying out / cracking Slides becoming loose / worn Factory Pro in the USA sell almost all the parts to overhaul from stock, they also make their own uprated Emulsion tubes - but I've not tried these as I moved over to FCR's before getting this far: www.factorypro.com/products/jets,needles,emulsion_tubes,pilot_jets.htm in the UK there is a source of Mikuni parts here: www.allensperformance.co.uk/index.htmlSadly, you need to pretty much KNOW exactly what you need but using the Factory Pro site will help for UK owners. Finally as well as Suzuki's - the BDST38 bodies are used on Yamaha TRX850 and some TDM models, so that might be another source. Good Luck - Frank
