Thanks for the tips from the 7-year old sprag clutch repair thread. It's still spot on, I just finished my 907 i.e. 1980 , and it's going and starting like a dream. As I am Scottish I didn't fancy paying the 120 quid Plus for a bearing so cleaned up the old sprags, which had been scored by the spring, which I then shortened. I have since sourced the KTM equivalent bearing at under £30 I have ordered that up and it will do for a spare if any problems arise. Cheers Davy.

Thanks Davy - I used a similar tip myself on my 2002 ST4s - best starting the bike had ever known post rebuild. Pretty sure its the same sprag unit. Two new options, a great guy called Michael in Ireland makes stronger springs (amongst other things) for the Sprags, search eBay for "Ducati sprag spring".
Next - SKF make a large seal numbered 23300, its the interior spring thats of interest as it works great on the sprag bearing.
Cheers - Frank
